Religious Quotes : Justice
The wise man will weigh matters carefully so that
he may judge justly. Hasty judgement shows a
man to be a fool.
BUDDHISM
All judgements should be made justly. Beware lest you fall into evil judgements. God is just and will judge all men justly, according to their deeds.
CHRISTIANITY
The man of honour desires justice and will seek after it in all his actions. Only the fool is unjust.
CONFUCIANISM
The one who hurts pious men falls victim to his own designs. This is divine justice.
HINDUISM
God, let me not stray away from the pa*h of
justice. I may remain ever steadfast against the
denunciation by others; should ever be unmindful
of the prospects of immediate death or life
through millenniums, keeping my equanimity in
poverty and plenty.
JAINISM
The Lord loves justice and has erected his throne
upon it. The man who deals justly with his fellow
beings at all times shall truly live.
JUDAISM
Injustice shall be overcome by justice. If one has
made a promise, he must fulfil it justly even
though it be made with the unrighteous. Man
should think and act justly at all times.
SHINTO
Our acts, right and wrong,
At Thy Court shall come to judgement;
Some be seated near Thy seat,
Some ever kept distant;
The toils have ended of those,
That have worshipped Thee;
O Nanak, their faces are lit with joyful radiance,
And many others they set free.
We are saved not, If thoust judge according to our actions,
Forgive us, O Thou Forgiver of all,
And lead Nanak across this ocean of life.
SIKHISM
To see justice and fail to do it is an act of cowardice.
ZOROASTRIANISM
O Son of Spirit! The best beloved of all things in
My sight is Justice; turn not away therefrom if
thou desirest Me, and neglect it not that I may
confide in thee. By its aid thou shalt see with
thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others,
and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not
through the knowledge of thy neighbour. Ponder
this in thy heart; how it behoveth thee to be.
Verily justice is My gift to thee and the sign of
My loving kindness. Set it then before thine eyes.
